They're jealous of her (as they should be) they don't want the boys around her. They try and break up the relationship that Lexie has with her boys. And she takes their crap! Because she loves her boys and wants them to be happy. Awwwww, she's way too nice. It finally comes out. Isaac, Ethan, and Asher dump their girls because they love Lexie more. Can I get a HELL YEAH? Finally. I could take a deep breath.
Lexie gets dumped by Mr. Douche Canoe Dylan. I had such high hopes for this boy. No, really! I did! But I was secretly glad because I want her with her boys. I mean seriously, #WhyChoose
I think that is what the appeal with reverse harem books have for me. Why freaking choose? Why can't she have all of them? This is fiction! And that is what makes this story so epic. Five awesome boys. *yes, please*

What is not to love about this book except it had to end and book 3 is not out! I read this 500+ page book is a little over 2 days. I love this series and have been hooked from book 1. Usually, I fizzle out when the series is not already out together but not with this one. I was just as hungry for book two a month later as I was when I left off book 1. This book offers so much. Lexie is a heroine to so many females. She stands up to bullies and bi***es; she refuses to back down from her beliefs; she loves wholeheartedly, and she never lets people down. That is why I want to know more about Dylan and his science project. I really hope book 3 opens up more secrets and explodes with harem finally taking its rightful place. Two books are enough teasing! I'm not sure about Zeke though. His girlfriend is the best and even better is the best kind of friend for Lexie. Hmmm...I guess I will have to wait and see, which I hope will be REALLY freaking soon!
I don't think I have ever read a book where the author reused the same phrases so many times. We get it. She used her cute voice. The same as the previous 50 times you mentioned she used her cute voice.
I love how this book is in full length and does not end in cliffhanger. I still love all of the MC's guy friends. The way they treat the MC is so sweet. I just want to ship them with the MC. The whole story in this book is so enjoyable and feels so real. I really like how the MC deals with the bxtchiness of the girlfriends. I find myself crying on some of the scenes. That abandonment issues is so relatable, I think all of us have that. The last part though is so heart wrenching. I just knew that Dylan won't stay. Even at first, I feel something wrong about him. So I'm glad he did the riddance himself. I just hoped that all of the guys stay till the end. Lexie deserves all the happiness she can get. BTW, I love the Asher and Miles POVs at the end. I hope to see more of the guys' POVs.
I just can't with this book. I love to re-read book, a good book gets better the more you read it. This book gets worse every time. I'm mean come on..... the guys bust up laughing when it wasn't even 'snicker' worthy. Feels like it was written by a 17 year old who is on the outside of the "cool kids" and this is how she imagines they are.
*This series is Reverse Harem aka BEST GENRE EVER
I've got to be honest, I almost didn't want to read this book. I read the info and thought "Girlfriends?! That's not RH! What the heck?! I'm gonna hate this."
Luckily the other fans in her Facebook fan group convinced me. Because the series is not complete without book 2!! Push through the scenes with the GFs cause they don't take over the book like I thought they would. You still get lots of Lexie time with the guys. 😍

Book 2 in the Veil Diaries, When the Dead Come A Knockin', picks up right around where the first book left off. This book continues to develop character relationships and detail some issues with the ghosts and the Veil.
In this book Lexie and the guys are all in different relationships. Lexie is with Dylan while the guys are dealing with their own relationships. Unfortunately, not all of the girlfriends are crazy about Lexie being close to the guys.
Normally I would hate the idea of the guys in a rh series dating other people but in this case I understand the reasoning. It is obviously not insta love here, and the fact that the guys are in other relationships (just for a little while) makes the idea of their friendships growing into more very believable. They're not all instantly in love, but over time the attraction between Lexie and the guys grows as she starts getting some butterflies ). The only bad thing about this is I actually like Riley, Zeke's girlfriend, and (until the end) I liked Dylan too! Thank god all the other girlfriends were psycho it made them so easy to hate.
By the end of the book many of their relationship status are back to the way they started at the beginning, but not all are characters came out unscathed.
The next book might be a little rough for Lexie but I can't wait to see how her feelings for the guys grow!
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series and a looking forward to the next one! It was nice of the author to publish the second book so soon and to make both books long enough that I really felt like a read a book! And not a chapter. The character development was some really well. It will be nice to see where things go once lexie has some stability with the ghosts.
